Office hours at our clinic are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday inclusive.

How to make an appointment

To book your appointment, you must have a referral from your family physician or health care specialist. All procedures at Sudbury Endoscopy Centre are insured services that are covered by the Ontario Hospital Insurance Plan "OHIP". However for our procedures to be covered under the plan, OHIP requires a referral from your family physician or specialist.

Once you have obtained your referral, your doctor will fax us the form and our staff will call you to schedule your appointment by phone during regular office hours. This will take place within 5 business days of our office receiving the document.


A colonoscopy is an examination of your large intestine (also known as your colon). Your colon begins in the right-lower abdomen and it is the last portion of your digestive tract. Its main function is to store unabsorbed food waste and withdraws water along with other fluids from the food waste, before it's exterminated as stool.
